Angelica Fung, an expressive arts therapist, graduated from the master program of Expressive Arts in Therapy with distinction at The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and qualified as a Registered Arts Therapist with a professional membership to ANZACATA. She was awarded the Madam Lo Ng Kiu Ying Anita Memorial Prize by HKU (2015-2016) for outstanding performance in the practicum. She also holds a Bachelor (with Honours in Fine Art) with a double major in Theatre Stage Design, and Costume Design from Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
Angelica has spent over 10 years concurrently working in stage, costume and exhibition design, and also in the field of children’s art and design education in Hong Kong. Currently, she is the Creative Director of CreativeKids, a leading children’s art and design education organization in Hong Kong. She has a passion for advancing children’s art and design education and learning environment. Her specialist areas include designing curricula, promoting and organizing expressive arts events and activities for children, families and community. Her expressive arts therapy interventions not only focus on mental and psychological issues, but also preventive measures for maintaining mental health to wellness based on Inter-model, Person-centered, Expressive Therapies Continuum (ETC) and Child-centered play approaches. Her aspiration is to go further in art and design education with using expressive arts therapy and theatrical environment stimulation as a tool, facilitating people in exploring their outer and inner world, in an effort to help them perceive and discover their inherent potential.
